"What can go wrong?"

It's a question that drives every insurance agent in Missouri up a water-damaged, highly flammable wall. Because the answer is always "Anything! Everything!"

Terri runs a small wallpaper and painting business that operates all over Missouri. So when she called her Missouri Farm Bureau Insurance agent, Jessica, to get some liability for a big one-time job that required it, Jessica gently talked her into keeping the policy once the job was completed.

"I didn't think I'd need it," Terri says. "I never had any problems before!"

You can see where this is going.

Fast-forward to last year. Terri and her sister were working an otherwise straightforward wallpaper job in Kansas City. They had to move the refrigerator to finish the kitchen wall, and they assumed that the hefty appliance was on wheels. It was not. And when it skidded instead of rolled, it left deep gouges in the kitchen floor. The brand-new kitchen floor that was now ruined beyond repair.

"Terri called me and asked, 'I still have that liability insurance, right?'" Jessica remembers. "Luckily, she never cancelled it!"

This was no simple patch job. The entire kitchen floor would have to be replaced. Terri's business is consistently busy but that doesn't mean she can afford to drop thousands on unexpected incidents. She'd feel that in the bottom line. But she knew her agent had her back. "Jessica was the first person I called," Terri says. "I knew she'd take care of everything."

"In the grand scheme of things, it wasn't a huge claim," Jessica says. "But to Terri, it meant the difference between making money on the job or losing money on the job. Her business is her livelihood, and our business is to help protect that. No matter how big or small the business."

Terri's claim was handled quickly, and she was able to get back to work without worry. Since she first started working with Jessica for her business, she's moved all of her insurance needs over to Missouri Farm Bureau Insurance.
