Must be licensed to sell insurance in the State of Missouri or must obtain license before employment begins.
Valid Missouri Driver's license required.
Ability to sell and influence others and to establish and maintain relationships.

Ability to gather, sort and understand technical or complex information and to interpret and present information to customers.

Salary Info:
Income is derived from commissions earned by agent on initial sales and renewals of insurance and other financial products. Income may include monetary compensation and travel derived from special incentive programs. A 36-month income subsidy program is provided for newly-employed agents. Office space and primary clerical assistance are also company provided.
In 2014 Missouri Farm Bureau agents who had completed at least one full year of employment achieved the following earnings:
Top 10% of agents: $184,000
Top 25% of agents: $140,000
Top 50% of agents: $102,000
Summary:
Sells and advises clients on all lines of insurance coverages and annuities and other company products.
Calls on policy holders to deliver and explain policies, to suggest additions or changes in insurance coverages.
Discusses advantages and disadvantages of various policies and products.
Obtains necessary information from clients to evaluate degree of risk involved and acceptance of applications.
Submits appropriate documentation to home office, binds coverage, collects premiums and/or establishes client's method of payment.
